Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

Because of that I was able to fit right in in all the places I traveled to by being ready to jump into their culture and learn all about it."
A student Brandeis University

A student The University of Texas at Austin
"The experience was definitely worthwhile. There's nothing I wish I'd known before going that isn't just learning-while-doing, so I just suggest any prospective General Course students just go in ready to have a new experience, and be surprised by all the things they don't know."
A student Brandeis University
"Gained independence and a global perspective "

"Yes, the experience was surely worthwhile. Since the system allows for a lot of self scheduled time, I was able to master time management, hone my research and essay skills, while also leaving room for learning beyond the scope of my major. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to be independent and how to adapt to a foreign country. I learned how to enjoy my own company and realize that I can enjoy traveling by myself.
