LMH was a great contrast to my experience at my home institution. I was able to focus on areas of student life that oftentimes aren't prioritized at my home institution. I got to see nine new countries without feeling like I spent too much or wasted my time in England. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

Studying at Oxford was the best academic experience of my life, and I made several fantastic friends, both locals and other abroad students. I gained a tremendous sense of independence and confidence in myself personally, socially, and academically, which I know will change the remainder of my academic experience for the better. I greatly expanded my knowledge of the subject I studied through the rich one-on-one discussions with tutors. I was able to make use of the wide range of resources at Oxford to do in-depth research. The work I did each week was challenging but rewarding. I not only improved my reading and writing, but also my social and communic... A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

Incredibly worthwhile, I gained the drive to return to my senior year refreshed and invigorated with more drive. I also made friends and had a truly ridiculous amount of fun. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
The tutorial system, though difficult, encouraged me to learn so much. Many of the topics I chose were very specific topics that a smaller university may not have offered, so being able to be tutored from tutors all over Oxford University was great. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

The tutorial system was intense - and initially somewhat overwhelming - but provided a great opportunity read broadly and then refine my skills at writing and oral presentation. Working and living with local students and was also a very enriching cultural experience. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review

It was absolutely worthwhile! The academic side was amazing. I loved the tutorial system. I learned so much and developed great relationships with my tutors. I also made amazing friends that I will keep in touch with. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
My experience at LMH was definitely worthwhile. Academically, I flourished, because a large amount of the work there is self-guided, but with weekly or bi-weekly meetings with tutors (either individually or in pairs) to review the work closely and provide advice and critique. Socially, I found it easy to make friends, because ... kathryn.geoffroy - Wellesley College View Entire Review

LMH is a large college with excellent facilities including a superb library, high quality accommodation, and spacious grounds. Our undergraduates, postgraduates, and visiting students are very diverse in the subjects they study, their personal background, and their intellectual, cultural and sporting interests. What they have in common is real dedication both to their own academic subject and to the whole College community.
We are committed to encouraging and supporting potential applicants, and providing teachers with information to support their students. See our outreach activity with schools and colleges.
