I learned how to be a better writer, which is a very useful skill. I think being able to improve in that area was worth it. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
How to conduct good research and write longer papers. How to be a more effective researcher and to more efficiently use resources. How to live in a city as a opposed to a rural campus. It was definitely worthwhile. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
Yes, I met really smart people and motivated individuals. While only two classes were interesting to me, I also got exposure to other activities. - Middlebury College View Entire Review

This was definitely worthwhile. I pushed myself to my academic limits while adapting to a new country and having a good time. It was thrilling. - Amherst College View Entire Review
I made a lot of American friends from other colleges that I still hang out with. I also learned how to write an 8 page essay in 3 hours which I think will help me going into senior year. I learned to work and study material at a new level and became a much stronger writer. I also had the opportunity to travel around other countr... - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I got engaged! and spent a year in England! and went for walks in the same parks where the greatest minds in history walked off their hangovers! Definitely worthwhile. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I gained an appreciation of Shakespeare, the British people and culture, the Pakistani diaspora there. I made some excellent American friends, and it was absolutely worthwhile. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I learned the most when I was traveling, but not all students will have the privilege to do this, so for the general middle or lower class student population, I do not think that this program in particular is worthwhile. There was also hardly any support system for students of low income status. Everyone seemed to just assume th... - Wellesley College View Entire Review

Definitely worthwhile. I learned more about how to live and function in a different country, a long ways from home. I also improved academically, too, especially my writing. - St. Olaf College View Entire Review

Academically, I learned how to be a better writer, researcher, and student through the rigorous but incredibly valuable curriculum. Personally, I learned how to live in a new city, country, and continent - both aspects helped me grow in innumerable ways and become more confident in myself. It was absolutely worthwhile. - Middlebury College View Entire Review

Academically speaking, this was an incredibly rigorous experience that will prepare me for future challenges. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
My writing, editing, and research skills improved immensely. I can now skim through several books, identify important arguments and thoughts, and compose a 7-8 page paper in one week. I made new friends, played frisbee, talked to people with different views than my own, and made connections for life. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I definitively improved as a writer, and gained confidence in writing more professionally. It was also fascinating working under the Oxford system. I definitely found it a worthwhile experience... I just wish my Independent Research Professor had been more professional. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I learned that I am a much more capable student than I have previously given myself credit for. - Middlebury College View Entire Review

Since I spent every week writing two essays and worked on a giant research paper for the last three weeks of the program, I really improved my essay writing and analytic skills and learned many tips. I became close with a lot of the students in the program, and established great connections with the students and staff. This was ... - George Washington University View Entire Review
