The program combines rigorous language instruction with content courses designed specifically for Middlebury students, creating an environment that fosters both linguistic excellence and intercultural understanding.

Home to world-renowned museums, historic neighborhoods, renowned performing arts venues, and a vibrant culinary scene, the city offers countless opportunities to explore Spanish history, culture, and contemporary society. With more than 200,000 university students, Madrid also boasts an energetic and welcoming academic atmosphere, making it an ideal setting for immersive language learning.
The Sede Prim, Middlebury's academic center in Madrid, serves as the home of both its undergraduate and graduate programs in Spain. Located in the city's historic center, the facility provides a supportive academic community while encouraging students to engage fully with life beyond the classroom. Students may also take courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid or the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
