How to appreciate other cultures, how to go with the flow and how to get the most out of each day A student - Presbyterian College View Entire Review

Having class once a week makes it more difficult to make connections between lectures, and it is harder to stay focused. I loved traveling, but even in Londo... I grew a lot individually. For example, I became more independent and more outgoing, but I also learned that the world is a huge place full of unique people just waiting to be explored. It was absolutely worthwhile! A student - High Point University View Entire Review
I gained knowledge and experience of several new cultures, as well as some amazing friends. I also gained more confidence in myself through traveling alone, and with groups, and learning how to successfully budget my money. It was definitely worthwhile, and I would do it again in a second. About
With a strong and welcoming community, St Mary’s University is the only Catholic university in London. We are very proud of our beautiful campus in leafy southwest London, close to the river Thames within 30 minutes of the bright lights of one of the most vibrant cities in the world. We are also ideally placed as a starting point to explore the rest of Europe.
Founded in 1850 as a teacher training college, St Mary's University has a long and distinguished history within higher education. From its original intake of just six students, St Mary’s has grown to around 6,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and offers a wide range of degree programmes encompassing humanities, business management, education, sports management & coaching and many more.
We have been awarded Silver teaching status so students can be assured of high-quality teaching. Study Abroad students can study modules from a variety of subject areas including Politics & International Relations, Law, Sport Science, Humanities, Religion and Education.
Study Abroad students stay on our campus with easy access to the teaching areas, library, theatre, sports hall, gym, refectory and café. We offer very competitively priced housing with a meal plan and cater to a wide variety of tastes.
St Mary’s has over 40 sports clubs and numerous societies. The sports teams play in some of the highest leagues in BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport), although there are plenty of opportunities to play sport on a social level, too. Our societies are active throughout the year and are great places to make new friends from around the world.
Students have access to world class sporting facilities used by high profile athletes, including those training for the 2017 World Athletics Championships, 2012 London Olympics, and the 2015 Rugby World Cup. We also boast multiple Olympic Gold Medal winning athlete Sir Mo Farrah as an alumnus.
We also offer a Liberal Arts Summer School where students can select 1 or 2 modules over a 6 week period. Learning is reinforced with field trips so students can benefit from the multiple cultural experiences our
capital city has to offer.
