I learned a lot about work/life balance and managing my time with my studies as well as participating in social activities and events. It was definitely a worthwhile experience for me. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Due to the lack of information about the program from my home institution, it was not so fun when I realized the gap between where myself was at and the expectation, nor the fact that I could not get enough credit transferred back. I would say that instead of academics, I learned the most about how to effectively communicate to ... A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I was able to travel a lot, and really explore subjects in depth that academically I had only heard about a little previously. It pushed me to explore on my own and find topics I was curios about A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I learned my learning capacity, what I love to study and how to study effectively, how to write well, and how to adjust to a place different from your own home. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I truly enjoyed my experience abroad. The tutorials that I had were engaging and thought-provoking. I enjoyed having afternoon teas with friends, going to formal halls, and rowing on the river. I was also blessed with the opportunity to travel all over Europe! A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Interesting tutorial system conducive to in-depth individual investigation. Really great traditions to take part in. Lots of available events to learn new things and meet new people (talks, society cocktails, balls, etc) A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned how to initiate and keep a conversation going with strangers. Alice L - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned a remarkable amount about myself and what I need or don't want to bother with. I also have a far greater understanding of my academic capabilities and feel as if I could confidently enter a graduate programme now instead of heading back to Wellesley for my senior year. The experience was most certainly worthwhile. Elizabeth G - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned a lot from my experience abroad. I made friends with people from all over the world (although most of them were other visiting students), many of whom I am still in touch with. I always wondered what it would be like to attend a university like Oxford and feel very lucky I've had the experience to do so. Oxford is a be... A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I think I grew educationally, socially, and culturally. iI was certainly worth while. Owen G - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I gained a lot of useful skills that will be useful when I return to Wellesley. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned how to put myself out there, how to take more risks, how to truly hold my ground while conversing with people who have written books on what I am studying. I learned that it was perfectly normal to go to black tie events in castles, how to punt, how to perfectly balance 2 essays a week with 5 nights out. I learned that... Rigorous academic studies with a lot of fun in the city. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Intellectual maturity was the biggest thing I gained from my year abroad. In addition, it has helped me figure my area of interest for grad school. I'd say it was definitely worthwhile. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. Oxford has a very different education system, and while I prefer Wellesley's system, it did open my eyes to how students in the UK learn. It is also refreshing to meet professors with a very different set of expectations from what you're used to, and that pushes you to think outside the box. I learned about British culture, efficient essay-writing, and the nature of education outside of Wellesley. It was worthwhile. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
