Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Only change would be making sure that you were taking courses that had the lectures running during the terms you'll be there!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Great space, but lots of issues with plumbing, repairs, etc.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We were housed off campus, so it was definitely hard to meet non visiting students

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Loved the courses, loved the city, made great friends. Only wish I could have been more integrated into the local community.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I received a stipend from my home university, but we only got dining hall points for dinner and they were nontransferrable to other meals, so those had to be bought. (Oxford is also a quite expensive city).

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $150
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cook!
