"Budapest is AMAZING! Loved the city but wouldn't choose the same program just because I didn't love my classes. The professors weren't great (in my opinion). "
Grace G Wellesley College
"Everything. Independence, language skills, friends, maturity, initiative. It was worthwhile, but if I could do it again I'd choose a program that encourages and allows for even more independence - maybe a direct enrollment program. But that's a reflection of my own desires, not a fault of the program. It does what it does well."

"I learned a lot more about myself and how I cope in a completely foreign situation. This experience was definitely worthwhile, and I wish I had spent two semesters in Córdoba."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned about a culture that is completely different from my own and it was eye-opening."
A student Wellesley College
"I loved living in Spain with my friends who were going through the same immersion process. It was a lot of fun and a good break from Wellesley."
A student Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile. PRESHCO gave me a personal and thorough trip into the culture of Spain (this comes from the amazing staff, well-planned excursions, the host families in the program, and the fact that it's a small program in a small city) that, from talking with other friends about their study abroad programs, is r..."
Chloe S Wellesley College
"I got to travel a lot and experience different cultures. I definitely improved on my Spanish although not as much as I wanted, but it was the best decision I made."
Laurelle C Wellesley College
"I advanced very significantly in my language skills, and feel that I developed personally a lot along the way. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was extremely worthwhile. I improved my Spanish, made lifelong friends, grew as a person and as a student and learned things about myself in the process. "
Jacqueline B Wellesley College
"The ability to communicate and understand another culture."
A student Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile. I got to travel to several different countries, meet the people, and visit my extended family."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned so much about what it was like to live in Denmark and in Europe in general, and the differences between Europe and the United States. It was an unforgettable semester and I will never regret my experience!"
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to be fearless. I came in barely knowing Spanish and I lived with a host family that barely knew any English. I had to learn how to communicate using very limited resources. The lessons I have learned from my study abroad have been instrumental to how I operate in social settings now. I feel confident in my abilit..."
Lavanya G Wellesley College
"It was definitely a worthwhile experience. I made a lot of friends, gained a lot of educational experience from working in a research lab and taking graduate level courses, and also was exposed to a lot of culture and diversity without traveling far from the university. "
Nathalie R Wellesley College
"I improved my Spanish speaking skills dramatically and made life long friends. You really learn how to live independently and get things done by yourself. I learned so much about myself and others that it was definitely worthwhile! "
tiffunknee Wellesley College
"I matured, learned how to handle myself independently in a place completely out of my comfort zone, and navigate and troubleshoot situations that I never faced before. I definitely feel prepared to tackle many more adventures and challenges in my future. "

"It was absolutely worthwhile! The academic side was amazing. I loved the tutorial system. I learned so much and developed great relationships with my tutors. I also made amazing friends that I will keep in touch with. "
A student Wellesley College
"I became a much more resilient and patient person because of my time abroad, and I had an amazing group with me, with whom I bonded incredibly. Much of our bonding occurred because we were quite unhappy with how our program was being run and were put in many uncomfortable/slightly rude/offensive social situations because of our ..."

"Very worthwhile. "
Lucy Z Wellesley College
"From my experience abroad, I learned how to live in a different country and culture, as well as how to learn and study in a new academic environment. I discovered what I like and dislike about academics, which has helped me narrow down what I hope to do in the future. I also made some very close friends, who I will continue to s..."

"It was worthwhile I learned so much-- not just for the language and the culture, but about independence and the like."
emily.rothkin Wellesley College
"Most definitely worthwhile. Probably the best experience of my life. I learned so much about the Scottish culture and about other cultures through my friends from other European countries. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learn a new way of living and gained a better understanding of what people value. I realized that I take many things for granted but developed a new appreciation for those things. I was able to explore new territories and create lasting friendships. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was *definitely* worthwhile, and I do hope to be able to go back for graduate study. Among the things I gained from my year at St. Anne's is probably the experiential realisation that learning is far more enjoyable when it is conducted within an academic system that stresses in-depth, consistent work as well as in-depth discu..."
