"This experience truly changed my perspective on the world, and therefore my life, as cliche as that sounds. I don't really know how to describe the manner in which it did so, or how I've changed in all the minute ways, because after hearing people talk about it but then experiencing it for myself, I really believe it is somethin..."

"I definitely think that we have much to learn from people abroad in terms of the way they live. Japanese people are very welcoming to Americans, and are definitely curious about our lifestyle. If the occasion calls for it, I would love to return to Japan, whether to visit friends/family, or to work."
Anthony F The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned a lot during my time abroad. I learned about a different culture, I learned more Spanish and I learned how people function in developing countries. I was certainly impressed by some aspects of public health in the Dominican Republic, so much that I think we can learn a thing or two from them here in America. I also ..."

"My study abroad experience was well worth it! I loved every minute of it. Although at times, I was challenged academically or learning new customs, I wouldn't change it for a second. I learned so much about the idea of home isn't where you live but it's rather the people and attitude you have. Your host family and friends abr..."

"I learned many things with AIFS Rome. I learned that to really know about someone you have to give them the chance to show you their life and culture. You must live as they do in order to understand their views on life. By immersing yourself in the culutre of a country is how your knowledge of things grows, when you get out of h..."

"This year abroad was everything and more than I ever wanted out of a study abroad experience.
