Overall Experience
It was immensely worthwhile. I learned so much about myself in being forced to adapt to a totally different lifestyle and culture, as well as being mainly deprived of my first language. Furthermore I travelled extensively and from that not only saw 8 other countries but learned about my own competence and independence. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
I learned about the different cultures/traditions that exist among the autonomous regions of Spain; the economic & political problems it was facing at the time; an understanding of what it feels to be a foreigner; and how to adapt to change. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I gained many new friends. better Spanish skills, and a whole new view of the world. - Fordham University View Entire Review
Learn to live in the moment and enjoy what around you, while appreciating the knowledge and history around you. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
Not only did I further my knowledge of the Spanish language, I completely stepped out of my comfort zone and got the chance to interact with the most amazing, interesting people I've ever met. I truly had the chance to be a part of the Spanish culture and that's not something everyone can say. I got to see some of the most incre... - Providence College View Entire Review

I learned that things do not come as easily to me as I thought they did. Yes, it was worthwhile. - Providence College View Entire Review
It was absolutely worthwhile! Mostly because I not only learned more about the world and different cultures but also more about myself and where I fit into the big picture. - Trinity University View Entire Review
my cultural awareness and confidence grew exponentially. I am more confident and excited to travel the world and learn more. I don't feel like I have to stay in my little bubble in Texas any more. I know there is so much more out there that I can explore. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
ABSOLUTELY! - Providence College View Entire Review
Yes! It has made me see the world in a whole new light and has given me an inside understanding of Spain - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
I gained more independence. I gained my parents trust in me to be more independent. I learned a lot about myself and my goals in life. I had an extremely difficult time abroad in the best possible way. I made friends that i'll never forget. I had host parents that I sometimes liked more than my own parents. I wish I could do it ... - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I learned so much about other cultures and how unique and different every culture is. I became much more global from this experience. It was worthwhile. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I gained more independence through my travel experience. I gained confidence in my Spanish speaking abilities. I also learned so much about not only the Spanish culture, but also about the cultures of other places that I visited throughout my semester (Italy, Portugal, France, Scotland, England, Morocco, etc.). It was the most w... - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I found my true self and I realized that some things matter more in life than materialistic things and who has the nicest car, etc. What matters is relationships and establishing bonds especially with people from other cultures because you can not only learn about their culture but you can also learn about yourself. - Providence College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself as a person. I learned what I like to do and what types of people I want around me. Most of all, I learned how to enjoy life. I always stressed out too much over school before. I learned that isn't the only thing that matters in life. You need balance. However, I learned this after staying for anothe... - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
Very worthwhile. I learned how large the world is and what a small portion I know about it. - Fordham University View Entire Review
I gained a new language (still not fluent, but it has improved significantly) as well as an open mind to a new culture. In addition, I met very close friends from across the United States and I still stay in touch with Spaniards that I met in Spain. It was worth the experience and I recommend to anyone! - Bentley University View Entire Review
I met some of the best friends I'll ever have, had the best experience of my life, learned how I most like to spend my time, had the most fun I've ever had, learned Spanish, somewhat figured out what I want to do with my life. It was very worthwhile. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I gained a lot of confidence in myself, I improved my Spanish speaking abilities greatly, and I am more independent. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review

So worth it. I absolutely loved my study abroad experience and would go back right this second if possible. It is a great way to learn a language and culture, and learn more about yourself. It is so much fun. - Trinity University View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was unbelievable. I cannot believe I traveled where I did and met all the people that I met. Without a doubt it will be something that I never forget. - Providence College View Entire Review
I gained understanding and confidence in my Spanish-speaking skills. It has made me want to go back, and want to travel more and help as many people as I can. - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Studying in Spain has honestly changed my life. I learned more about myself in those five months than I had in the previous 21 years of my life. I am now more outgoing, confident, and open minded. I can see the world through the eyes of others, and not only though the eyes of a middle class American. After studying in Sevill... - Providence College View Entire Review
