I gained a lot of independence and consequent confidence while I was abroad. The public transportation system is incredibly easy to navigate and affordable, which in turn offers a lot of freedom to explore. While I'm not looking forward to the transition back to the MBTA, I think I'll be better equipped to handle myself now that... A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review

It has challenged some habits that I have been trying to improve as well as built independency, resiliency, and determination within me. But most imp... I gained confidence in navigating unfamiliar situations alone. I think it was incredibly worthwhile because, as I tell myself, if I was able to live alone on the other side of the world, I can do just about anything. Nathalie C - Claremont McKenna College View Entire Review
I learned so much about Korean culture and also about myself. I'm a queer, non-binary person, so I was incredibly worried about my identity making my experience more difficult, so I sought out queer spaces. While many of them were fairly segregated (queer spaces for men and for women are often separate, and often discriminate ag... Devon H - Middlebury College View Entire Review
My time abroad taught me much about myself such as who I was without my academics. It taught me about the cultural experiences and differences I did not know were present and allowed me to expand my friends and close circle to include those in other countries I have never learned about. It is nice meeting and getting to know so ... A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I gained a lot of exposure to a new culture. It was easy to just get up and explore, especially because public transportation in Seoul is amazing! In addition to this, I was able to learn a lot of Korean by just interacting with the locals or making friends at social locations. I think it was definitely worthwhile!
