A student Wellesley College
"definitely worthwhile. "

Karen S Wellesley College
"My main goal was to learn the language and become fluent in it. Having achieved this, I am content with my study abroad experience, despite the obstacles I faced. Also, traveling to other parts of Europe was incredible, and I will never forget it."

Viveka B Wellesley College
"If I could have met the same people elsewhere, I would choose a different program if I did it all over again. I really value the relationships I made with some of the exchange students and transfer students. It was nice that all of us were able to experience Jacobs for the first time together."
Rebecca M Wellesley College
"Yes, study abroad was worthwhile. Once I realized that it was my experience to have and I did not have to define it by anyone else's experiences, it was easier for me to enjoy the culture and my time in Sydney. Study abroad really is what you make of it. I tried as much as I could to fit into the culture and do the things that m..."
Lauren G Wellesley College
"Yes, definitely "
Jamayca W Wellesley College
"Yes, this program has solidified my decision to become a doctor and increased my cultural awareness. I got to visit eight different countries which was an amazing aspect of the program."
Jane A Wellesley College
"I learned to be much more independent and self-reliant. I was used to living on my own, which I think made a big difference in my experience -- I knew how to cook and supply myself adequately. I learned I don't really like cities, large universities, or being alone all that much, which is great to know; I also gained a lot of c..."
Genevieve G Wellesley College
"The experience was worthwhile, it allowed me to form new connections and discover new things about myself. "
Laura E Wellesley College
"Absolutely. Every experience is worth while, even the negative ones, because you always learn something."
Katherine F Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile. My experience has ensured me that I do NOT want to build a career within Human Rights, IR, Politics, Law or anything else along those lines. I learned that academic institutions may not always be there to support you, and that you may at times, need to rely on yourself for progress. I learned to be self-su..."

Eleanor H Wellesley College
"Definitely; I became more independent, learned more about practical aspects of day-to-day life (cooking, shopping, transportation), became familiar with the literature of a specific, lesser-known country (one of the classes I took for credit towards my English major was Edinburgh in Fiction, which covered Scottish novels set in ..."
Jee-Hyun S Wellesley College
"Yes, I'd say my experience was very worthwhile overall. It was a great learning experience in many ways. I grew in independence and confidence in my ability to live in a foreign country on my own and learned a lot in my classes. I made some great friends from all over the world, and had the opportunity to travel to several count..."
Colleen I Wellesley College
"I learned about British culture, efficient essay-writing, and the nature of education outside of Wellesley. It was worthwhile."
A student Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile. Oxford has a very different education system, and while I prefer Wellesley's system, it did open my eyes to how students in the UK learn. It is also refreshing to meet professors with a very different set of expectations from what you're used to, and that pushes you to think outside the box."
A student Wellesley College
"The people I met and the experience of living in Barcelona made it worthwhile. However, it was not very beneficial academically, except the language improvement opportunity."
Tijana T Wellesley College
"I loved being in Joburg. I had an amazing experience, but it was not my specific program that catered my experience for me. I had to figure it out on my own and I had to work through a lot of frustration in order to appreciate my experience. "
