Yes. It was a great change of pace from traditional education. It was very hands-on.

Many support services-- the alumni connections are incredible. There is a network of WM alums all over the world that are willing to help and support you in all of your academic endeavors!

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We were given money each week for groceries and were able to cook for ourselves. It was a great experience!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We all went to the local contra dances. Great time!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? very little-- maybe $5-10 for gum, toiletries, or other luxuries besides the staple groceries
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If you want to go back to your home institution, the transportation is not always easy. Make sure you have money to take the Amtrak train or a bus, which can be up to 50 or 60 dollars.
