I feel like it was my first time truly learning real life skills and living like a real independent adult. I had to make my own friends outside of school, I got a summer job, I had to cook for myself and budget my money for over six months. It was also just so fun--Barcelona is so fun and relaxed. The pace of life is much more t... Laura U - Wellesley College View Entire Review
This semester abroad was incredibly valuable to the development of my independence, to find out more about where I belong in the world and what I want to do with my career, to broaden my horizons and perspectives about life and culture, and to experimentally learn about topics I am so interested in. Every student should have the... Valentina D - Wellesley College View Entire Review
being abroad for so long compared to what I had been exposed to before was scary at first but it taught me to be confident in myself. I believe it was worthwhile. Edgar Lara Amador - Brandeis University View Entire Review
So worthwhile. I learned a different kind of independence. I learned resilience. I was able to see what life was like at another university in another country, which allowed me to both appreciate and constructively criticize my home university. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself and how I handle uncomfortable/not ideal situations A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I think I grew a lot because studying abroad comes with challenges (especially if you are traveling alone or with friends). I have never lived in a big city, much less with so much independence. wellesleystudent2020 - Wellesley College View Entire Review
It was the best five months of my life. I highly recommend it Claudia Roldan - Brandeis University View Entire Review

My experience abroad was more than I could have asked for. I learned to be truly independent and take full control of my academics. I gained a lot of knowledge about a foreign culture, and learned what living outside of the U.S could be like. Kariely R - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I highly recommend studying abroad if you have the means and desire to do so. Michelle K - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I learned so much not only about myself but also about Barcelona: the culture, the politics, the city, everything was absolutely incredible. I was constantly going out and doing things, meeting new people and trying new things. T A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

It was definitely worthwhile to go abroad. I was able to become more fluent in spanish, as well as gain confidence when speaking it. I was pushed outside my comfort zone by having to study at a spanish university where I had to take difficult classes in the local language. I also gained a lot of "inside" knowledge about a differ... Leidiane De Oliveira - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I really enjoyed travelling the most and living in a city. It was definitely worthwhile for the life experience. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Absolutely worthwhile. I learned so much about myself just spending that much time alone and by being forced to use a second language to communicate and travel solo. I really dislike the city, the culture and the people there, but it was so valuable regardless. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
