"I enjoyed meeting other study abroad students from other schools and connecting with them, as well as having the ability to travel so easily. Experiencing a completely different education system was also very interesting, and I realized that I definitely prefer the American system. I'm really glad I studied abroad, but if I had ..."

"I enjoyed the classes and am looking forward to going back next year in person. I think remote study abroad isn't worth it if you won't be able to attend in person later."
A student Wellesley College
"The experience was worthwhile but if I had to do it again, I would only go for a semester, not the year. "
A student Wellesley College
"Traveling and living on my own were really educational experiences. Even though I didn't enjoy TCD as much, Dublin made it worthwhile."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned a lot from my courses. I learned French and how to cook for myself, handle my living expenses, and be responsible for my daily routine without my support network close. "

"i visited many countries, learned a language I love and got a break from my college"
A student Wellesley College
"While I definitely enjoyed the experience, there were limiting factors caused by the pandemic."

"I really enjoyed my time abroad. Cambridge has a 6 week break in the middle of the semester that is a great travel opportunity. The classes also so rigorous that you can't fly out to somewhere during the week for a weekend getaway. "

"I can speak Arabic now, and I could not at all at the beginning. Definitely worthwhile."
A student Wellesley College
"I got to be a part of a different part of the world. I improved my French. I really became more independent and confident in my ability to travel and navigate the world. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned I could live on my own, which felt great. I gained a few very close friends which made the year worth it. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about myself and my relationships with other people -- what I want from relationships, the way I interact. I became much more self aware. "

"I learned a lot about French culture, global culture, and about my personal life. I think it was a worthwhile experience and one that I was able to live and learn a lot from."
A student Wellesley College
"The program was excellent academically and gave me a crash course in living completely independently (which was a bit overwhelming at times but ultimately a good experience). The other students there were fantastic and since it is a graduate program, had often had careers of their own before returning to higher education (though..."

"I feel like I learned a lot socially because it definitely is a unique social situation. Overall I wish there was more focus on the things that the program advertised but I did have a really good time and felt like I ultimately learned a lot"
A student Wellesley College
"I think being a responsible human being, as in taking care of myself, cooking and cleaning for myself, was a good experience. I also realized that I love living in a big city, so I know after college where I should search for job opportunities."
A student Wellesley College
"My German did improve noticeably, but I think the most significant development I saw in myself was increased confidence and independence. That's very common in study abroad programs, and it probably would have happened elsewhere, but all I can say for sure is that it did happen in Berlin. Berlin was not my top choice of city, an..."

"cultural understanding, it was very worth it"
A student Wellesley College
"I very quickly had to adapt to the pace of London, which took the development of many new habits and unlearning of old ones. Very importantly, I had to learn how to connect (and reconnect) with the people around me, whether that was in classes, in my dorm, or with complete strangers at random, I found the people I met to be the ..."
A student Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile because I learned that I am capable of living on my own and navigating a new city. I basically started all over and it was super fun."
A student Wellesley College
"I best part of my experience abroad was the people I got to meet and learn from. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was amazing. Being abroad gave me such a newfound sense of confidence and independence. Living in a giant city like London by myself was well worth it and traveling solo throughout my time really enriched my experience. "

"I learned more about my double identity as a Haitian-American and I gained more of understanding of what my family went through while they grew up in Haiti. I gained more of an appreciation of having a family as I felt I have gotten closer with mine and my host family over shared experiences."
