What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I enjoyed meeting other study abroad students from other schools and connecting with them, as well as having the ability to travel so easily. Experiencing a completely different education system was also very interesting, and I realized that I definitely prefer the American system. I'm really glad I studied abroad, but if I had another chance I would have preferred studying in the fall semester or choosing a different program.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Groceries were about £20-30 each week, travel was the most expensive, about £80-120 per month depending on how often I went out.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try to cook as often as possible rather than going out to eat, since everything in London is so expensive. Also try to get student discounts wherever applicable.
