Trinity University
University Information
The Study Abroad program at Trinity University is designed to be accessible and flexible. With proper planning, students from every major can study abroad productively in many different countries around the world as a part of their degree.
This is possible because Trinity's program is based on individually advising each student so that the term abroad becomes an integral part of the degree that meets academic, personal, and professional goals. As a result Trinity students participate in a wide variety of academic experiences abroad from studying in a foreign university classroom to academic internships to intensive language study to field studies - or a some combination of these things.

"I have traveled to many other countries in my life, and New Zealand was just not one that I enjoyed. The best time I had abroad was when I volunteered in Bali for 2 weeks during Spring Break."

"No."
Andrea D Trinity University
"I gained more confidence in traveling and dealing with difficult situations, but I would have gained that with any program. Because of the horrible program, I also gained a lot of bitterness on top of the confidence. "
A student Trinity University
"I got to write a lot of music because I was so annoyed with how the program was run. I was staying with old people an hour out of paris in a particularly uninteresting part of France and had nothing to do, so I wrote a lot on my own. "
A student Trinity University
"I got to know the Spanish culture, explore both Madrid and other major European cities during the semester. Travelling was really were I ended up enjoying myself the most. Host families were a pain as well the classes. Studying abroad is definitely worthwhile. Studying abroad with this program is not. "
Alexandra G Trinity University
"A greater appreciation for what I have at home, and the people in my life."
A student Trinity University
"I learned how to be independent and self-sufficient in my living abilities. Living in Brussels forced me to learn to shop/cook for myself, manage my expenses, and get myself from point A to point B using local transportation. There are parts of my experience I loved, the traveling and the few good friends that I made, but overal..."

"Japan is a hub for art. I feel my appreciation for art got better."
Shuhui Z Trinity University
"I improved my sense of direction, street smarts, and got out of my comfort zone. I learned about another culture- and realized things that I liked better and missed about America. I became a more confident and independent individual, and met many new friends during my travels."
Jamie B Trinity University
"Yes and No. I was difficult, because I wanted to learn alot, but wanted to have fun as well with the new friends I made and balancing that was hard. The other international students mostly from the US, seemed to go out every single night to party and drink. I was pressured alot because I felt I needed to experience Hong Kong tha..."
Mark G Trinity University
"I learned how to take care of myself in the hardest of times, especially with no help from the program. I became much more self-sufficient. I learned a lot about the Italian culture - far more than I expected to. It was worthwhile for the friendships I made and the things I learned, but I would never pick the same program again...."
Kimberly T Trinity University
"I gained work experience and had a lot of fun, but it was a program that could have been located in the states, there was very little integration with Scottish society"

"I learned a lot about the history of Peru, which is probably history I wouldn't have learned otherwise. I learned a lot of different worldly perspectives on issues like race and gender and socialism vs. capitalism (to name a few). I also learned that I can adapt to new situations even if they're not ideal for me."
A student Trinity University
"I learned how to speak spanish and I learned a lot about myself. I also got to see a more simple life style. It was worthwhile."
A student Trinity University
"I loved my time abroad, don't get me wrong. I think I would have enjoyed my time more if I wouldn't have done the Parliamentary Internship. And as much as I love rain, constant rain for 5 months really can get to you. My experience was certainly worthwhile, and I loved it a lot. As an adventurous outdoorsy type, if I could turn ..."
