Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I learned a lot more in my internship than I did in my class. The class was simply a once a week "field trip" with random assignments. I did not learn much from the class.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The American University administration is very unhelpful and unorganized.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I did not leave on campus.

* Food:

I did not eat on campus.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I was in the United States...although I really loved the political culture of DC.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

American University is very unhelpful and made this experience stressful.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
