What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to be independent and self-sufficient in my living abilities. Living in Brussels forced me to learn to shop/cook for myself, manage my expenses, and get myself from point A to point B using local transportation. There are parts of my experience I loved, the traveling and the few good friends that I made, but overall I believe that I learned to tough it out when things get rough.

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I wish that I knew more about the school. The way that the housing is worked out makes it usually a 30-40 minute commute by transportation if you're lucky. Also, there is a major problem with females being harassed in Belgium. Don't go out at night without a buddy! |
