August 28, 2019 Aventura En El Perú
I learned that you're not always going to be in your comfort zone, and once you're out of it, the adventure begins! I learned to get comfortable with being uncomfortable and that's a very worthwhile lesson for me. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned so many things while I was abroad, a lot of which came from outside of the program. Some of the learning I did was indeed within the program, but it wasn't book learning. It was more about learning who are the people I would like to surround myself with, it was learning about the qualities I look for in others. Outside... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It was the best year. I grew a ton personally and am more independent and confident. I expanded my worldview and met so many people. It was amazing. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about the history of Peru, which is probably history I wouldn't have learned otherwise. I learned a lot of different worldly perspectives on issues like race and gender and socialism vs. capitalism (to name a few). I also learned that I can adapt to new situations even if they're not ideal for me. - Trinity University View Entire Review
Past Review Peruanísimo!
I gained fluency in Spanish (a lifelong goal), made many connections, both professional and personal, and experienced a world so alike and different from my own. I made another home - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Past Review Peru
The trips were fun and my Spanish did improve a slight bit but I was incredibly stressed out by how inadequately I was doing in classes and felt like I had little emotional support while there. - Austin College View Entire Review
September 26, 2018 A Semester In Lima, Perú
I mostly learned about the incredibly interesting history of Lima, and Perú as a whole. This was worthwhile. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Past Review I Really Grew!
Yes! - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Of course it was worthwhile, every decision we make it our lives is worthwhile because we learn from them... if someone regrets their decision or wishes they did something else, then they're blind to what they could have learned from their experience. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
The program really improved my Spanish and enhanced my independence. The program staff was very supportive and provided a great orientation as well as support throughout. I think it was worthwhile, although if I did it again I would make more of an effort to immerse myself in Peruvian life, explore Lima and make more friends. Definitely worthwhile! I gained a lot of understanding and patience and I learned more than I could ever begin to write in this tiny box. - University of Arkansas - Fayetteville View Entire Review
It was certainly worthwhile. I grew a lot as a person and learned about the world of Perú, of which I had been completely ignorant before. I hope to return to Perú to work with an NGO that my director connected me with. - Providence College View Entire Review
YES. I loved it. I feel more confident and smarter because of it. I would do it all over again. - Rice University View Entire Review
