Overall Experience
September 03, 2019 Please Mind The Gap
I gained lifelong friends and learned about academic community in my major economics. - Trinity University View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile! I appreciated the diversity of both London and LSE as it was a stark contrast from Wellesley (both the town and the university) - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned from my program that i really like where i live, and that I want to remain in Texas after graduation. It was worth while, and a very good learning experience, both academically and about myself. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I could not possibly list what I learned from the experience. The lessons were endless. It was an incredibly rewarding and worthwhile experience that I will likely not have again. - Providence College View Entire Review
Yes, I found the experience to be worthwhile especially in terms of focusing my career and academic interests and honing the skills I will need to enter the field I am interested in. - Providence College View Entire Review
My plans have not changed. This experience was a dream realized. I gained a network of peers who will undoubtably come up in numerous unimaginable circumstances later in life, just like I reconnected with a random of old friends while in abroad. The experience did give me an opportunity to better understand the diverse yet incre... - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
May 23, 2018 Amazing!
I travelled a lot while getting a great education in Economics. - Middlebury College View Entire Review
I learned the limits to which I could push myself when it came to handling my coursework. I learned to be confident in a room full of people that I may have never met before. On a personal level, I learned to be independent, resourceful, and financially responsible. - Providence College View Entire Review
I learnt to be more outgoing for meeting new people, and learnt to challenge myself more in an academically rigorous environment. - Fordham University View Entire Review
My experience was extremely worthwhile. Living in another country forces you to see that there is more in this world than America. I learned a lot about myself as well. I learned I can handle a lot more stress than I give myself credit for. To write all that I learned is impossible; to know if it's worthwhile you have to just go... - Western Washington University View Entire Review
There were so many times when I just wanted to pull my hair out and was so frustrated because I was doing all the right things, but felt no give-and-take with LSE. I proved to myself that I am capable of pushing myself to entirely new limits. I can walk into the most exclusive members-only clubs in London and have faith that I'm... - Providence College View Entire Review

It was worthwhile. I proved to myself great things about my endurance and intelligence. I was able to interact with different people, which has proven a useful characteristic when communicating. The reward of this experience cannot be fathomed completely in words, but if you are interested in this program and feel that it is ri... - Providence College View Entire Review

About

A premier social science institution with an international reputation, London School of Economics (LSE) boasts a tradition of excellence that spans over a century.

Cutting-edge research and extraordinary faculty are responsible for its QS rankings of 1st in Europe and 2nd in the world in social science and management (2021). The School has had 18 Nobel Prize winners among staff and alumni, and 37 world leaders have studied or taught there. The current student body encompasses 100 countries.

With a commitment to innovation, the School is home to a number of new departments and research centers, including  Centre for Economic Performance (1990), Gender Institute (1993), the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment (2008) and LSE African Initiative (2009) and the South Asia Centre and Women Peace and Security established in 2015.

As a highly competitive institution, Arcadia students are invited to study at LSE for a full academic year or a summer. This is a program option for students who are comfortable working independently. Academic year students choose four to six courses.

Located in the heart of central London, the campus has on-site green space in its rooftop gardens. It also has one of the most active student bodies in London, and a Student Center that is home to find a wide variety of cultural and sports clubs and societies, as well as shops, cafes, and entertainment venues. University of London Union’s facilities are available to Arcadia students, as well, and you’re close to the Arcadia London Center. You should expect a 30-minute walk to class from your accommodation, which is a great commute for a central London student.
