University Information
The Office of Study Abroad supports Brandeis students who participate on any of our 300 approved programs in some 65 different countries around the world.
On average 40% of the junior class studied abroad during the academic year while still more students took advantage of various international opportunities in the summer. There is a huge diversity of transformative experiences that Brandeis students have engaged in abroad including studying biodiversity conservation hands on in Panama, conducting ethnographic research on sacred figures in Mongolia, interning with Parliament in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and interning in special education classrooms in Sydney, Australia to name a few.
Whatever your story, journey or adventure is destined to be, come by our office to learn more about the steps to going away!
Additionally, by logging in to Abroad101, all approved programs will be tagged with an "Approved" badge.

"I learned so much about the reality of poverty and inequality in Cape Town, but also generally in the world. I saw and experienced and learned so much! There were many difficulties and challenges with disorganization and difficult program staff to work with, however it was certainly still worth while. However I think that unfort..."

"I loved studying abroad. I felt like I learned so much about myself, what I want out of my education, and my future. Because of the atmosphere at UCD, I spent a lot of time in the city on my own, and I am so grateful for the independence that I learned as a result. I also traveled at lot which was convenient since I rarely had w..."

"I learned to become more independent. Living in a flat in the city makes the experience less student-like. It was interesting to live and attend classes in this way so I think it was a worthwhile experience. "

Emily Dana Brandeis University
"My language skills increased considerably, but I came out of the program exhausted. I felt like I didn't get the chance to travel/explore the Beijing area. In my opinion, 20+ chapters is too much to cram into 2 months. We covered and regurgitated an incredible amount of grammar and vocabulary, but I'm not sure I could use/rememb..."

"I became even more independent than I was in the past. "
Zach B Brandeis University
"I definitely gained a better sense of self-sufficiency and how to REALLY take care of myself as an independent student. The kind of education you receive at BADA is very specific to the British tradition, so having that understanding, and being apart of that learning experience as a kind of "cultural immersion" in its own way op..."
