Local healthcare was very different than it is in the states--things move a lot slower in the hospitals

I gained a lot of opportunities and loved living in Jerusalem

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Go grocery shopping and prep your lunches ahead of time, so you don't end up buying three meals a day

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? There's a big difference between taking care of yourself in your home university in the States and being able to do it while abroad.

The Networker
An active student leader, it was important for you to network abroad as well. Once overseas, you sought out student clubs, volunteered with local organizations, or attended community events.
