A student Trinity University
"I became a much more resilient and patient person because of my time abroad, and I had an amazing group with me, with whom I bonded incredibly. Much of our bonding occurred because we were quite unhappy with how our program was being run and were put in many uncomfortable/slightly rude/offensive social situations because of our ..."

"I gained a loving family who I miss very much and want to go back and visit. Also, I loved learning the spanish specific to Chile and I despite the challenge of never knowing what was going on because of the language barrier I feel like I learned, grew, and changed so much. The best 4 months of my life. "
A student Brandeis University

Ray C Yale University
"It is nearly impossible to write in this box what I learned from this experience so quickly after it has ended, but I will say that it is certainly worthwhile. If you want a fulfilling study abroad experience both academically and socially/culturally, I would highly recommend choosing an SIT program (especially the Balkans!)"
George M Berea College
"I enjoyed the city, but I did not like the program"
A student Brandeis University

A student Trinity University
"I chose IHP Health and Community, because I knew it was the kind of opportunity that I would likely never have again. I think that I grew a lot as person and some pretty incredible friendships. But it's so hard to sum up my experience! I wish I could do it all over again. "
A student Wellesley College

"Being abroad taught me so much about my ability to navigate a new city independently. I learned a lot about myself, honed my Spanish skills, and developed relationships with an amazing family. I would recommend that anyone that has a chance to study/live/work abroad does so - it is life changing!"
A student Trinity University
"I think the biggest gain from the program was the ISP experience of doing original research immersed in the topic and culture that I was studying. It boosted my confidence in operating in Spanish. Made great friends. Worthwhile. "

"Traveling is always an incredible, eye-opening experience. My program focused on indigenous people and globalization--so now I am very aware of social issues concerning inequality, language extinction, and gentrification.
