I feel like I understand the language and the culture so much now and it has really changed my view on the global world. I would love to go on more trips like this in the future. Gina B - GAP Year Students View Entire Review
After this experience I see that there are many differences between our culture and how others lived. It open my eyes to the way people live in different countries, and I guess you could say I've caught the "travel bug". I feel my Spanish has improved greatly, it was so worth it. About
This program is ideal for students who would like to improve their communication and grammar skills, while also taking culture courses in addition to their language studies. Beginning level students focus on developing their oral and written proficiency and all courses relate to language study. Intermediate, advanced and superior level students complete 2-3 cultural electives in addition to their grammar course. A student’s language level is determined by a placement exam administered by the Universidad de Salamanca.
ADDITIONAL CREDIT OPTIONS: Students can earn additional credits if they choose to combine two or more terms, or if they add an intensive month of language, conversation and cultural studies (consisting of 80 contact hours) at the beginning or end of their program.
ACADEMIC YEAR OPTIONS: OPTION 1 Most academic year students ultimately choose to complete the fall quarter of the Spanish Language and Culture Program and the spring semester the Business and International Studies program. Students who choose this option will have a different program end-date than the winter/spring Spanish Language and Culture Studies students.
OPTION 2: Academic year students may choose to pursue two consecutive quarters of the Spanish Language and Culture Studies program.
