"I plan to work in Korea in the future, so it was great to really live there for an extended period to get used to regular life, school, work etc. My Korean skills improved a lot and my general skills at managing life on my own also improved. I am confident I can manage myself living in a foreign country, and I feel prepared to l..."

"It was the most worthwhile thing I have done since I started college. I will never forget my time abroad, and I have made many friends who I intend to keep in touch with for the rest of my life. "

"Yes, my program was definitely worthwhile. I gained experience in a very different academic milieu, one that I enjoyed greatly. I plan to go back to the UK to pursue further education, because I have benefited from the more open environment that prevails in its institutions. Discussions were, in my opinion, of more value because..."

"Yes!!!! I learned so much about myself during this year abroad, from my personal learning style to how I actually do like vegetables if they are fresh and locally grown! I also learned so much about French culture and way of life, and I have really learned to slow down and enjoy what I am doing each day. I was also able to remov..."

"My Spanish improved significantly, I learned a lot about Spanish culture, I learned to be more independent, I didn't travel to many other countries but I had a blast travelling within Spain. It has made me even more fascinated with what I am learning and what I have learned within my Spanish major. "
Stephanie Q Wellesley College
"It was absolutely worthwhile. I learned to get along with many different types of people, I learned about cultures that are entirely different than that of America. I learned that not all other peoples hate Americans, but that it is easy to get caught up in political discussions just because you are from America. "
Briana R Wellesley College
"Absolutely. I had the most fun year I've ever experienced while in Cordoba, while also greatly improving my Spanish, meeting some amazing Spanish/American/French/English/Belgian friends, learning a ton about Spanish and Cordobesian culture, and getting a chance to exercise a more out-going, daring side of myself rather than the ..."

"My experience was definitely worthwhile. I have greatly improved my Spanish skills, but more importantly I understand a lot more about Andalusian culture. I grew as a person, and found my way to find a niche in Cordoba. While PRESHCO did not help me much academically, it made me more aware of my ability to adapt in a new environ..."

"Studying abroad was my first time out of the United States. So I immediately gained a lot of perspective. Living in a foreign country was difficult at times, but well worth the experience. I enjoyed learning other people's perspectives on mathematics and other things, such as politics. I had a lot of great conversations. "
Melinda L Wellesley College
"Yes-it was a nice break from Wellesley but at the same time made me truly appreciate the academics we receive here. It also made me realize that there are bigger things in life to stress about and I think it calmed me down a little. "
Erin S Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile. I gained a new perspective on both America's culture and Wellesley's educational system by learning about those of Australia and the University of Melbourne, and I value them both much more now because of that. I also ended up catching the travel fever- I've been considering work, study, and volunte..."
