Overall Experience
I became much more comfortable living independently in a city and planning trips either by myself or with others. I also learned so much about Aotearoa and the amazing work Maori peoples have been doing to preserve their sovereignty and language in the wake of colonization. - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I learned so much from this experience abroad. I learned about myself as well as New Zealand and the States. I learned about the New Zealand night sky as well as quite a bit about the political system (perks of being there during the election season!) I learned about myself and my values since I needed to be aware of so much ... - Franklin & Marshall College View Entire Review
I learned so much about the world and myself. It was totally worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Amazing place to go for five months. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I gained a sense of independence, confidence in my ability to navigate the world, and lifelong friends. - Tulane University View Entire Review

I learned how to be more independent and how to adapt to unexpected circumstances (i.e. pushing a rental car up a hill and out of mud < but hey, I learned how to drive on the left side of the road!). I gained new friends, most with whom I hope to keep in touch. I would recommend study abroad to anyone who wants to grow and try n... - Trinity University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself both as an independent traveler as well as a person. It was definitely worthwhile. - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I learned basic life skills for living on my own--budgeting, cooking, cleaning... I have never really had to do any of this independent of my family or school. It was an eye opening experience. - Trinity University View Entire Review
The single most worthwhile thing I have ever done! I made so many new friends and learned so much about myself and how I operate independently from everything that I know. - Trinity University View Entire Review

I've learned about the hardships and challenges faced by the native cultures of New Zealand and Australia in reaction to European settlers, and I feel like this knowledge has given me some perspective, in which I could view Western European/American culture from the outside looking in. I could see how fortunate I am, and the fl... - Trinity University View Entire Review

It was without a doubt one of the greatest things I have ever done. - University of Hartford View Entire Review
Yes. Though I spent my time learning about a new country, I ended up learning the most about myself. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
January 08, 2018 I Miss It Already
While I'm not sure I can truthfully say that I actually learned how to cook (I did do it, but I'm still not great), I did learn a lot about being independent and how to survive in a completely foreign environment - and yes, it was completely worthwhile and I would do it again in an instant. - Trinity University View Entire Review
November 19, 2017 Highly Recommend!
I gained a new outlook on the world. Kiwis are incredibly nice and open, which was incredible. I also learned a lot about myself by living in an entirely new environment. - Colby College View Entire Review
I learned a lot more about myself, what I value, and what kind of person I want to be. I know that all sounds super broad and general but I really valued it. - Trinity University View Entire Review
Past Review Life Changing!
Definitely worth while, but it made me appreciate the american school system so much more. TU definitely has a much better sense of community - University of Tulsa View Entire Review
Past Review Life Changing
I learned a lot about myself and I saw some of the most incredible things that I will probably ever see in my life. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. I also want to travel to so many other countries now. - Trinity University View Entire Review
It was worthwhile. Gained insight about how other people see the world. - Trinity University View Entire Review
Self-dependence, strength, musical horizon expansion. - Trinity University View Entire Review
It was absolutely worthwhile. I learned to get along with many different types of people, I learned about cultures that are entirely different than that of America. I learned that not all other peoples hate Americans, but that it is easy to get caught up in political discussions just because you are from America. - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I would tell everyone to go abroad it is the perfect time to take stock of your life at home while having a good time and experiencing a place you otherwise wouldnt have had the chance to. - Tufts University View Entire Review
