New Zealand is an amazing country, and Auckland is the best of both worlds--a big city with plenty of outdoor activities and adventures accessible from the city. And IFSA-Butler was there every step of the way with resources, advice, and support.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The conversion rate in New Zealand works in your favor, but if you keep that in mind when making purchases, you can quickly overspend. Try to forget about the conversion rate so that you end up spending less than you think.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish that I knew how quickly time would fly by and how important it was to plan ahead to be able to do all of the things that I wanted to do while in New Zealand.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
