"Yes, my study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile-- overall I had a great time. I loved my host family, the friends I made on the program, and getting to know Kyoto. I really enjoyed getting to know a completely new and different culture, and getting to apply and really improve my Japanese skills."

"This was definitely a worthwhile experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I'm planning on going back to work in NZ for a few months after graduating."
Kimberley C Wellesley College
"It was the best year of my life and I wouldn't change anything! The only thing I regret is since I traveled like a tourist, I experienced Europe in a very touristic manner and not necessarily how a student who studied in a full immersion program would have."
Katherine S Wellesley College
"Study abroad was amazing, as was living in India for so long. I have become a stronger, more independent person because of my experiences. I would absolutely do it again, though maybe with a different program in India. I am so glad I did this, though at times it was more challenging than I ever could have imagined. I was more ho..."

"It was definitely worthwhile. I understand a bit more about how people interact and I also became more knowledgeable of myself. It has impacted my future plans because while before it was a shadowy possibility, I now want to return to the U.K. and will be applying for jobs there. After going abroad for a year, I know that I ..."

"It was a great experience and a much needed break from Wellesley! I met so many interesting people... it really made me aware of how people perceive me as an American as well. Personally, I think it made me even more mature and much more calm. Hopefully, I can keep that when I go back to Wellesley. I also studied at King's t..."

"I LOVED my experience. I had the perfect combination of an urban co-ed environment in a wonderful city, with great classes that I wouldn't otherwise have been able to take at Wellesley. "I had a fantastic experience abroad, it was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. I had always wanted to go abroad to France, eat french food, make friends from the areas, study there....just be a part of a culture unlike my own. I thought it would be an incredible personal challenge and experience, and I was right. France ..."

"I missed graduation, while abroad, and still I know it was the right decision. I felt bold in deciding to go abroad at the point in my academic career and I feel that my time abroad forced me to grow up and expand my horizons in ways that would not have been possible at Wellesley. "
Megan C Wellesley College
"This program opens up a whole new world of possibilities in my own art making, and my attitudes toward the responsibility of artists to share and exchange knowledge. The directors of this program are creating and fostering a community of like minded artists who will continue to sustain each others growth and expanding awareness."

"Yes it was the best 8 months of my life, probably! I loved the people I met there, Kyoto, my host family, everything. I was very happy the entire time. There was more that I could have done to become more culturally aware, but that was my own fault. I learned a lot about Japan!"

"Paris makes a great home base for traveling around Europe. Great experience, if you can't do Columbia's program just pick any program in Europe and you're going to have an adventure. Keep traveling, keep experiencing things, try and meet new people. You'll look back years later and say those were the best times. "
