"It was very worthwhile; my language skills increased noticably, I learned a lot about Japan and Tokyo, and I had some amazing opportunities to travel and meet people. I don't think you can have a *bad* abroad experience, and for all of my mental health/personal struggles coloring my experience, I still think it was an extremely ..."

"Before studying abroad in Spain, the culture and history of the country had always been an abstract. Living in Spain allowed me to understand and live the culture in a way that I hadn't before I went. My language skills became more natural, and my comprehension skyrocketed. What's more, I made friendships within the program that..."

"It was most definitely worthwhile! Going to NTI was the best experience for me. I came out of the program feeling like a superhero because I knew I had transformed into an artist with an inexhaustible set of skills. For 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 14 weeks, I learned to make theater without excuses. I can move forward in ..."

"I learned way more than language. Advancing my Japanese was the main reason for going abroad but it became secondary to the many other discoveries I made in Japan. For one, I had the privilege of interacting with many genuinely kind and interesting people who taught me so much about life through their diverse backgrounds. My lan..."

"I learned that American Superiority exists, that Western cultures are extremely similar fundamentally, but on the surface appear very different, and patience. Mostly, I learned to expand my worldview from my college experience, and question the things that I had previously taken as truths. I have to say that my travels and my fr..."

"I learned how incredibly fun exploring a new place is, and how to be myself and stand on my own, without the comforts of old friends and family. I learned more about myself, and how to build a community in a new place. It was absolutely worthwhile, I almost think going on exchange/studying abroad should be mandatory, especially ..."

"I learned so much about the world and myself through this experience. South Africa is an amazing place to study ecology, as the environments are so biologically diverse. Additionally, the premise of the program, living, working, and traveling throughout the country with 20 individuals was a wonderful opportunity to build a stron..."

"I learned that it is indeed possible to write and read for two essays in the span of a week or less. In particular for the political science program, I very much appreciate the comparative and institutional approach to many of the topics within comparative politics. My knowledge concerning topics ranging from civil war to legisl..."

"I absolutely loved my time at the LSE. I was pushed academically and personally, and I was able to see much more of Europe than I had anticipated. While certain aspects of the LSE's academic system--like its exam-oriented structure--were overwhelming at times, I was able to find the support I needed from other LSE students and f..."
