I took care of myself more than any other time, because I had to cook for myself and take public transportation all the time, as well as planning my own travel and vacations. It was definitely worthwhile. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
So much about the human body, study so much of bodily processes, got to see what it was like to go to school at a highly academic university. A student - University of Hawaii - Manoa View Entire Review
I learned a lot about how different other cultures can be, even ones that seem very similar to America. I also had to learn a lot about how to take care of myself in a different country, which was very beneficial for me A student - Arcadia University View Entire Review
I think it was very worthwhile. I gained perspective on my future and how I've been living my life. I've refocused on what I feel is important and found a new appreciation for all the people in my life. Gabriella M - University of Hartford View Entire Review
About
Studying at Monash University, Australia’s largest and most international university, for a semester or year will connect you with people from around the globe. Situated outside of Melbourne, the cultural capital of Australia, students have the opportunity to engage in various activities on-campus while having adventures in Melbourne and the state of Victoria. Students are able to study for a semester or year at any of the 6 Monash campuses, however most students study at the Clayton and Caulfield campuses. Though it is the largest campus, Clayton has a tight knit community of students who can be seen engaging academically by constructing Motocross vehicles in Engineering labs and socially by browsing the craft market outside the Campus Centre. The Caulfield campus reflects Melbourne’s urban atmosphere with students creating screen printed masterpieces in the Faculty of Art and Design or heading to a meeting after a marketing lecture in the Faculty of Business and Economics. Choose from a range of subjects across the university's ten departments (including Arts, Art and Design, Business and Economics, Science, Engineering, Law, Education, Information Technology, Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences). Monash University holds the world's only stand alone Centre for Australian Studies where they can get a better understanding of the culture in which they live. Living in Melbourne gives students access to some of the best restaurants, bars and cafes in Australia. There is always something exciting happening in Melbourne whether it be Australian Rules Football games, the International Comedy Festival or the Melbourne Food and Wine festival. Study abroad students enjoy travelling to the Yarra Valley wineries, Great Ocean Road and to see the Phillip Island Penguins on the weekends. Program Length: Semester or year (Semester 2: July - November, Semester 1: February - June) Deadlines: 15 November (for Semester 1), 15 April (for Semester 2)
