Trinity University
University Information
The Study Abroad program at Trinity University is designed to be accessible and flexible. With proper planning, students from every major can study abroad productively in many different countries around the world as a part of their degree.
This is possible because Trinity's program is based on individually advising each student so that the term abroad becomes an integral part of the degree that meets academic, personal, and professional goals. As a result Trinity students participate in a wide variety of academic experiences abroad from studying in a foreign university classroom to academic internships to intensive language study to field studies - or a some combination of these things.

"I'm more comfortable with international travel and air travel in general now. I tried a lot of different Spanish foods and know how to cook them for myself. I understand more Spanish, have a larger vocabulary, and am faster at conjugating verbs."
A student Trinity University
"I gained a better understanding of true Spanish culture and a greater appreciation of the versatility of the Spanish language. "

"It was worthwhile, in my opinion. I learned a lot about how to get by in Shanghai and China in general."
A student Trinity University
"It was worthwhile. I gained a strong sense of culture in the Arab world and a sense the conflict between tradition and modernity on a personal level. "
Jessie D Trinity University
"It was worthwhile! I had many opportunities to see myself grow as an individual and be challenged by living on my own. My homestay was slightly unusual in that my host father traveled a lot for work so I often had the place to myself, so I definitely got experience in living on my own and providing for myself. "
A student Trinity University
"I learned a lot and it was definitely worthwhile to go abroad. I learned that I cannot live in a cold place, which is valuable. I learned that I love where I live and where I go to school even more than I thought I did. I learned that it is valuable to do things out of your comfort zone even if it doesn't go as well as you thoug..."

"I wish I had gone knowing some of the language. I learned about a different culture. "
Andrew G Trinity University
"My Chinese improved a bit. The experience itself is worth going for. The sights, the food, the people, and just the change in lifestyle that comes with living in China is remarkable. "
A student Trinity University
"Definitely worth it!"
A student Trinity University
"Studying abroad came with some good experiences and some bad, but it was definitely worth while to learn about myself, and how I fit into China. Studying abroad actually shook up the plans I had for after graduation, so though it put me in a state of uncertainty, it made what I want to do and don't want to do a little clearer."

"-how to immerse myself -how to take advantage of a situation -how to handle myself in a situation -how to travel independently -how to enjoy a city fully"
Avantika K Trinity University
"I learned how to handle everything for myself, I couldn't depend on my parents for most things. I became much more independent. "
A student Trinity University
"I made my experience in Geneva great on my own accord. The program did not contribute to my wonderful time in Geneva. I learned a lot about Swiss history and enjoyed exploring the country."
Irene M Trinity University
"My experience with Brazil was incredible. I connected with the local culture, became fluent in Portuguese and made many friends. But this had nothing to do with the SIT program. The program was very frusterating, disorganized and many of the activities were an absolute waste of time. Our final projects were poorly monitored ..."

"I think it was worthwhile, but it really was just attending school in a different setting. I will definitely return to Scotland just to travel and be abroad someday. "

"I would definitely go abroad again, but I wish that I had come into Trinity College, Rome, more aware of its shortcomings. I was disappointed by the level of support and the caliber of student. "
Rachel P Trinity University
"I had a ton of cultural awareness before i left. I didn't learn as much or enjoy myself as much as i expected. But that is just a personal issue and i believe many people enjoyed it greatly. I'm glad i went through with it though, because i did learn a lot of things about my own preferences in the social world."
Isaiah P Trinity University
"Being Ecuadorian, I gained more knowledge and a valuable experience about what it is to study in my own country."
Daniela Torres Trinity University
"I think that it would have been more worthwhile if it had not been so isolated. I feel that by having their own "university" Boston takes away from the experience of French classes and a more global outlook."
Kate C Trinity University
"I learned that, even in the face of language barriers, I can find my way. I learned so much about other cultures and how people live outside of America. It was amazing to see so many things I'd only ever dreamed of. It was definitely worthwhile and an experience I will remember for the rest of my life."
sparshawnda Trinity University
"I learned more about French culture and improved my French. "
A student Trinity University
" I had the opportunity to go and see things that most other students don't. I truly did enjoy my experience abroad; however, there are some aspects of the program I feel need to change. I loved my fellow students on the program, our trips throughout the country, but there are things I would change about SIT. "
Stacey Debner Trinity University
"It was very worthwhile, however I didn't like that it was to americanized. "
