I learned to value personal time and free time again. I learned there are many different ways of doing things even in what are thought to be similar cultures. I learned that just because a country is westernized it doesn't say almost anything about the actual place or culture. I learned I love to explore. I learned I can be on m... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with CIEE: Brussels - Summer Buisness, Communications and Culture
This program was a life changer for me. Belgium was an extremely inviting host country. The program administration with Michelangelo, Chloe, and Yamina were wonderful and a necessary resource. The interns Anna, Casey, and Kim were also additional resources and younger for personal connections. My housing was located in a safe pa... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It was worthwhile! I had many opportunities to see myself grow as an individual and be challenged by living on my own. My homestay was slightly unusual in that my host father traveled a lot for work so I often had the place to myself, so I definitely got experience in living on my own and providing for myself. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I am a much more openminded person after my experience abroad. I now understand where international students are coming from when they come to my school. I also feel like I can tackle anything since I lived in a foreign country which speaks a different language. I'm also less judgemental toward other people in general because... - Purdue University View Entire Review
I learned how to be more independent and mature from my experiences abroad. My major is communications with a focus on intercultural communications, and going to a city where there were people from all over the world was amazing. Being in the EU capital, it was a dream come true! - University of Connecticut View Entire Review
I gained an experience that I will always remember and I learned more than I can recount here. It was definitely worthwhile. - Millsaps College View Entire Review

My experience in Brussels was definitely worthwhile. I'd say the most important thing I took away was the connections and friendships I forged with the local students. I tried hard to not always hang out with people from my program but make as many European friends as possible. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
These is a whole new world out there. The feelings cannot be explained in words. - Miami University of Ohio View Entire Review
