"It was worthwhile in that I traveled out of England as much as possible, which was relatively easy since it's so close to the continent. I learned that I really don't like living in England."
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"While I would have liked a smaller, less international city with more local French culture and with less rude locals, nonetheless the experience alone of living abroad was a wonderful and eye-opening experience. I gained an awareness of different lifestyles and, most valuably, I was able to travel to other countries, which game ..."

"Yes I learned a lot but I don't think that I would like to live in Paris again nor go to Sciences Po again (say for graduate study)."
Julieta C The University of Texas at Austin
"Yes I definitely achieved my goal which was to learn as much Portuguese as possible."
Jose G The University of Texas at Austin
"It was fine for what it was. "
kedanielson The University of Texas at Austin
"It was very worthwhile for the cultural aspect and improve of my proficiency in a foreign language. I met many great people and came back with great memories. I did not feel like I took anything influential away from my courses and my Spanish class was the most horrible because of the schedule and material. Clicking through a po..."
Margaret Keally H The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned about life in and the history of Istanbul. Although I had a great time, I wish I had integrated more into the local community."
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"It was worthwhile. I got to reflect a lot on my experiences in Texas and became more proud of my home as a whole. I did a lot of solo travel which I learned that I really prefer to anything else. "
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"For how expensive the experience was, I and many of my classmates were extremely unprepared for the situations we were going to expect. Part of this is the fault of the SAO, and part of this is because of the extreme weather conditions we experienced in our study time. I really feel like the SAO could have done a better job plan..."
Elizabeth W The University of Texas at Austin
"A knowledge of a different culture and cultural norms (and appreciation for the food and language). An understanding of what makes me comfortable and uncomfortable in a new environment. Flexibility. It was absolutely worthwhile."
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned a lot about living with people from different cultures, and I would have to say that my experiences of travelling and meeting new people made the stay in Menton worthwhile. I would not have wanted to stay longer than a semester. "
Rebecca R The University of Texas at Austin
"Again, I enjoyed my time abroad. But I have heard other study abroad companies are absolutely amazing, so I was almost shocked at how poorly Arcadia was run."
Caitlin C The University of Texas at Austin
"The best thing about studying abroad is that I was able to truthfully experience Spanish culture and my credits will look great when applying for my MBA!"
Mindie Roxanne B The University of Texas at Austin
"Gained cultural knowledge and an international understanding. Yes it was worthwhile "
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"You learn a lot about the way the EU works. "
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"Definitely worthwhile, if only because I had to deal with awful staff. But the four days a week I didn't have to deal with Arcadia were always fantastic. "
Kat M The University of Texas at Austin
"My study abroad experience was not what I had expected. I was tricked into thinking the school I would be attending would be in Tokyo but it was in Chiba. This led to me spending more money on transportation to go into Tokyo and also not being able to stay out longer than 11pm or i would not make the last train to my home when p..."
Lily Y The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned to appreciate more of what I already have. The entire experience was a wake up call to get my life at home in order. "

Daniel F The University of Texas at Austin

"I felt so lost. Spaniards are vain, blunt, and rude. I had the hardest time connecting with Spaniards, and I don't think I'll go back to Spain."
Sara S The University of Texas at Austin
"Although there were several difficulties, I am very glad I studied abroad. It was amazing to see the differences between the European system and our own in terms of transportation, politics, social aspects, etc. I really enjoyed the travel and meeting people from all over. I appreciate my life in Austin so much more than I did, ..."
Matt J The University of Texas at Austin
"It was worthwhile, but I would not do it again. I went strictly to learn Portuguese, and it would have been best to go alone and take private classes and not be able to speak English in my free time. "
KANITRA F The University of Texas at Austin
"Yes! I loved my experience!! I loved Paris and my homestay family, but I did not like the cold weather and long winter. Also, I did not love the other students in my program. "
