Study Abroad Programs: Community Organization and Advocacy
Community Organization and Advocacy is a study subject that focuses on developing skills to address social issues and advocate for positive change within communities. Students who choose this program will learn about different methods of community organizing and how to engage in effective advocacy, as well as the role of power and privilege in social justice work. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of the historical and cultural contexts of social issues and learn how to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
This program will provide students with opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-world settings through internships, community service projects, and other experiential learning activities. By the end of the program, students will have developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as an understanding of how to effectively communicate and collaborate with others to effect positive change. Overall, this program is designed for students who are passionate about social justice and want to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
