CIEE is a program provider offering 415 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Intensive Language, Gap Year, and Online Program abroad programs in 32 countries such as France, Japan, Ireland, and Czech Republic.
CIEE is a nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization that transforms lives and builds bridges between individuals and nations by sponsoring a wide variety of opportunities for the exchange of ideas and experiences. CIEE helps people develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world, and contributes to a more peaceful global community by humanizing international relations.
CIEE partners with overseas universities to provide direct matriculation options, creates CIEE courses to add to the offerings, and staffs each Study Center with CIEE-employed Resident Staff who provide co-curricular activities and around-the-clock student services. We offer quality academics with opportunities for cultural engagement such as excursions, homestays, volunteer opportunities, and internships to provide the highest quality study abroad experiences.

Study Abroad with CIEE
"Studying abroad was worthwhile. I gained an understanding of global issues that I had never experienced before. I improved my Spanish, and I got to experience a whole culture that was very foreign to me. I could retreat into my enclave of American friends and establishments, but there were opportunities to venture beyond that. S..."

"My study abroad experience was definitely worth missing a semester at PC even though I love my college. I gained a better understanding of myself & pushed myself to great limits I never thought I would be able to achieve. Sevilla is an amazing city and I would strongly suggest that one study abroad there if given the opportunity..."

"Without question my experience abroad was an exceptional experience. Words don't really do it justice. I learned a ton in my classes, and I traveled to 9 different countries while I lived in Spain for 5 months. I hope I get to live in Europe again soon! It was that incredibly rewarding."

"I gained more independence. I gained my parents trust in me to be more independent. I learned a lot about myself and my goals in life. I had an extremely difficult time abroad in the best possible way. I made friends that i'll never forget. I had host parents that I sometimes liked more than my own parents. I wish I could do it ..."

"I am not a lot more aware of how many life changing opportunities and experiences there are in the world. You will hopefully walk away understanding there is so much more to seeing ad doing in this world and opens your eyes to a lot of things you may have ignored in the past. I now see myself going back for grad school or moving..."

"It was definitely worthwhile in the sense that it made me realize that I DON'T like Japan that much and DON'T want to live and work there like I had originally thought. In that sense it saved me the trouble of getting a job there and being committed to living there for several years and likely growing to hate it. I learned a l..."

"This was definitely worthwhile. I learned a lot about different cultures, how they coincide with each other, the language and how much it means to different countries, etc. I feel like my cultural awareness has matured a lot. "YESSSSSSSSS-studying abroad is sooo sooo worth it. College is incredible but I think that if you have the chance, everyone should study abroad-it's such a once in a lifetime experience. "I loved this program. I did not come into this program with the mindset of "hey I'm a junior in college let's go study abroad!" I came into this program with the mindset of therapy, recooperation, and self healing based on previous events that happened before I left for the DR. Because of this, I did not have a typical study abr..."

"Personally, it made me realize just how much of a control freak I am. The Dominican Republic is not conducive to that way of being, and it has taught me patience like I never would have imagined. Academically and in terms of career goals, I now have a very clear idea of what I would like to do with myself after I graduate. Up..."
