It was entirely worthwhile! I met incredible people, life-long friends, learned more about myself, all the while exploring a new country to me. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned that you should do hours if not days of research before coming to another country, and if it is your last semester or even just your senior years, it is best to wait. You can always study abroad after you graduate or do internships. A student - Anonymous University View Entire Review

I learned how much I love organization and efficiency. Buenos Aires was a huge challenge for me for numerous reasons, and although I do think it was overall a worthwhile experience, I don't think I will come back here. A student - Fordham University View Entire Review
It was a great experience and has definitely inspired me to explore other parts of Latin America. Kara F - Fordham University View Entire Review
NO QUESTION. BEST DECISION OF MY COLLEGIATE CAREER. Melanie K - Wellesley College View Entire Review
The only standout negative aspect of the entire experience was the schooling. Otherwise, the advisors, both at my university and through the program, were extremely helpful, and the city was amazing. I feel in love with the atmosphere of Buenos Aires and want to return, come hell or high water. Sarah S - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
Overall it was an experience of a lifetime. I had problems with my host family, but even with that I gained a lot from living with them. By studying with CIEE, my Spanish has improved and I have gained insight into a different dialect I had no previous knowledge of. I also learned a lot about the culture and subcultures of Ar... I came back with a new perspective, a lot of cool stories, a lot of people from there that were hard to leave (i.e host family), and just overall amazing memories. Yasmin Akhavan - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I gained higher fluency, and have become more confident in approaching people back at home (it's so much easier in English!), and overall I've gained some independency. Alina K - Clark University - Worcester View Entire Review
I became much more comfortable with speaking Spanish and confident in my ability to live in another country. It was an incomparable opportunity to study Latin American Studies (my major) from a Latin American academic perspective, as well as try to integrate myself into a Latin American culture and experience it firsthand. I lov... A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
This was one of the best experiences in my life, if not the best one. I would highly recommend it to anyone and I seriously think everyone should study abroad at least once while in college. I have new lifelong friends, am almost fluent in a second language, and have absolutely no fear or hesitance to go anywhere else in the wor... Mary O - Wartburg College View Entire Review

I learned a lot about myself. I was challenged in every way possible and found myself in situations that required me to make smart choices. Don't trust everyone and don't get comfortable with the city life, by that I mean be street smart. Lizeth G - Grinnell College View Entire Review
Yes i learned a lot about the culture and got to practice my spanish. Paul B - Hope College View Entire Review
Yes. I learned more Spanish, made new friends, experienced a world on my own, learned what it means to be completely lost and not know anything, and much much more. Rebecca H - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
Beyond my disappointment with the program and the homestay situation, the experience itself was invaluable. If my opportunity to live in a foreign country had to be via this program, so be it. Going abroad and adapting to a different lifestyle is life changing and would choose to do it all over again the same way if I had no o...
