About
The GREEN Nepal Program is a 10 day trip with courses in partnership with Kathmandu University - School of Development Studies. You will be learning about the devastating impacts of the 2015 earthquake that struck just outside the capitol and impacted 30% of Nepal's energy infrastructure. You will observe Nepal’s current energy policies, natural resource legislation, and other legislative controls impacting the production and sale of electricity in the nation. Our program with also bring you to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, cultural shows, and river rafting.
Being TGP's only program that includes home-stays and solar microgrid integration in Nepal's rural communities, you'll be able to engage and immerse yourself with the local community in a highly unique way.
Through hands-on education about microgrid system design, TGP participants will execute off-grid solar field project planning and installation. Participants actually have the opportunity to bring potable water and electricity to a rural community for the first time.
Join The GREEN Program's newest expedition to explore the possibilities of alternative energy integration through microgrid systems for rural development!
