A student studying abroad with CISabroad (Center for International Studies): London - The London Semester
January 23, 2019 Unforgettable
I gained independence and I am more confident. I am able to see the world in different ways after seeing how others live their lives. I appreciate other cultures more and every moment was worthwhile. I learned more about who I am and who I want to be one day. - University of Massachusetts Amherst / UMass View Entire Review

I gained such an appreciation for the country and the people who live there. I gained life-long friends who I still talk to everyday. It was absolutely worthwhile and I’d recommend it to anyone - Eastern Illinois University View Entire Review

I learned how to be independent at all times and manage tough situations by myself. I also became more confident meeting new people and trying new things like food or different classes. - Ohio University View Entire Review
It has most certainly impacted my cultural awareness of other people, and how different and yet similar they are to people here in the USA. That kind of understanding (which I know I could glean more of,) can't be obtained in a classroom or through a film of someone else's adventures. The best way to learn is to experience somet... - Salem State College View Entire Review
It is very hard to explain to people how incredible my experience was. You really just have to experience it. The best thing is to go with a completely open mind and integrate into their culture and stay open to new experiences. Because of my time there, I am going to try to do my graduate work back in England. - Colby-Sawyer College View Entire Review
Studying abroad did allow me to meet new people and see some wonderful new places, but considering I am both an introvert and a homebody, I was left wishing that I was neither and had taken advantage of the close proximity to London that I had while I was abroad. I did not exactly enjoy the party atmosphere, considering I'm a st... - University of Maine - Farmington View Entire Review

I gained a lot from experiecne and I would recommend this program to any individual that would like to study abroad. I find that it changes a person's perspective on how the other half lives. I enjoyed my stay at Roehampton and learned a lot about not only the country of England, but also of Scotland and Paris. I was intrigued t... - Salem State College View Entire Review

Studying abroad really did open my eyes to the opportunities available through international education. I learned a lot about a completely different (yet comfortably similar) culture, whether it was negotiating an Asda shopping trip or understanding the legal differences between the UK and US. I gained a new perspective on the... - University of South Carolina - Columbia View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile, and I grew so much as a person. Academically, I would not say it was worthwhile, as the majority of my classes will not transfer. I would definitely do it again in a second, and I plan to go back to London after I graduate this May! - Virginia Commonwealth University View Entire Review
It helped me gain independence and learn from life experiences - College of Marin View Entire Review
I learned things I never would have realized back at home. Getting out of your comfort zone and diving headfirst into a place where cultural rapids collide cannot be described simply in a sentence, or even a novel. It is an experience, first and foremost. One learns about themselves while also learning about others simultaneousl... - Salem State College View Entire Review
