CISabroad (Center for International Studies): London - The London Semester

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained such an appreciation for the country and the people who live there. I gained life-long friends who I still talk to everyday. It was absolutely worthwhile and I’d recommend it to anyone

London was everything I dreamed it would be. I loved the city and I love the friends I made. However, Roehampton did nothing to help build relationships with international and local students, so every class I felt like an outside along with the dorms.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $100-$150
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Bring so much more money than you imagine you’ll need and budget budget budget. Food is rarely processed overseas so it goes bad much faster, and you’ll be eating out significantly more than you plan.
