I learned to appreciaye myself and love life. It’s easy to be ignorant to what life is like in America, but once you’re able to venture outside of black and white, you’re able to see color in a brand new way. Devin Taylor - Texas Lutheran University View Entire Review
I learned so much about being independant and traveling. I made so many friends from all over the world. I have had experiences there that changed my life forever. New Zealand has helped me find a new passion for climbing and mountaineering I would have never gotten to explore at my home university. Jessica Karpa - University of Maine - Orono View Entire Review

About
Wellington (population 450,000), is located on the southern tip of the North Island and is New Zealand’s capital city. Considered New Zealand’s cultural heart, Wellington features many museums, live music venues, theaters, and art festivals. Wellington is also a leading center for creative industries such as film and computer technologies. Often compared to U.S. cities such as Seattle and Portland due to its climate and culture, Wellington has all of the charm of a smaller European city with the beauty of New Zealand’s flora and fauna. True to the island spirit, Wellington’s residents take advantage of the close access to the sea – almost all of the city’s population lives within 2 miles of the coastline. **New API-VUW scholarship opportunity! Two NZ$500 scholarships each semester will be available for API students beginning Fall 2018!** Come study abroad with API in Wellington!
