I learned so much about living independently and taking care of myself. I also learned how to be culturally sensitive. Kacie R - Western Washington University View Entire Review
This study abroad program was completely worthwhile, I gained an entirely new outlook on different cultures and how they create people. I now see how differently we all act as a result of where we grew up and the history we grew up learning, but also the similarities we all have as people. I now want to return to the Czech Repub... Absolutely! i cant really explain what all i got form it other then i know i have grown as a person; all in positive ways. I think it is different for each person, and you just really need to experience for yourself to really understand. Amanda G - Drake University View Entire Review
This experience was definitely worthwhile. I wish I had stayed for a year and I am already trying to figure out if I have time to study abroad again. This program gave me a lot of insight into the every day lives of Czech citizens and has made me much more interested in language and European history. I am also definitely plannin... I thought my time abroad was perhaps one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The people I met and the places I travelled will stay with me for the rest of my life. I feel obligated to express my feeeling of how opening studying abroad can be for expanding both your academic goals as well as personal experience. In shor... Yes. Everything was worthwhile. Every up. Every down. Every dollar spent on passport pictures, postage, financial advice, fried cheese sandwiches, AA batteries.... and the list goes on and on. It can't be summed up in this survey. What I learned and how I changed and progressed is all particular to me and me alone. You will have... Thomas B - Providence College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about myself. I grew to appreciate everything that I have and the opportunity i had abroad. It was the greatest experience of my life and it is for many. Do not Hesitate, come to Prague. Thomas K - Providence College View Entire Review
Makes you a more independent person as well as opening your eyes up to the world. Prague is different from the US and most of the rest of Europe, but that is what makes it so amazing. It is a MUST to visit if not study for the whole sesmter. Steven S - University of Massachusetts Amherst View Entire Review
Of course. I feel much closer to Europe's history having experienced it outside of a textbook. Margaret N - Providence College View Entire Review
I loved Prague and I loved my program. I just feel that I would have chosen the much less expensive one and spent the money that I saved on traveling more. It has been an invaluable experience seeing so much of Europe, and it has solidified my belief that I want to live abroad when I graduate. Danielle T - Providence College View Entire Review
As I have said coming to Praha changed me in a way I would have thought impossible 5 months ago. You leave with a whole new outlook on the world and yourself. It is perhaps clique to say that a study abroad experience is life changing, but for me and many of the friends I made and have talked to since coming home, it is. This se... If you are even considering Prague, GO. I almost went to other, more "traditional" study abroad places, but now that I have been to those other places while studying in Prague, they honestly pale in comparison. Prague has such a different feel and look, but it's an amazing one- I felt like I was living a fairytale. If you're loo... Amanda J - Grand Valley State University View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. I learned a ton about culture, myself and just living slightly out of your comfort zone. Traveling most weekends gave me the opportunity to see many places I probably would have never otherwise seen. Academically it made me much more awake of European nations, cultures and how they view Americans. Christine B - Providence College View Entire Review
I'm all for meeting great people, and now I have a network of friends in America and the CZ that make future visiting much easier Benjamin L - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
This is a ridiculous question. Of course it was worthwhile. Very basically, I met some amazing people who are scattered all over the world now. My social network is huge now. The culture and feeling of the Czech Republic was similar to mine but allowed for growth in a thousand different directions. Walt L - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
It was worthwhile. Of course it changed me and increased my cultural awareness; it would be silly if it didn't. I learned that Central and Eastern European History and Politics are two of the most interesting subjects I've encountered and plan to study them in the future. I thought I wanted to, but I was very unfamiliar with the... M H - Austin College View Entire Review
Definitely worthwhile. I gained a lot more independence, because at PC (and probably at most colleges) you are living apart from your parents but you still live in this bubble community where you're on a campus and everything you need is right there. Living for the first time in a city where I was forced to take public transport... Stephen T - Providence College View Entire Review
Yes. I learned a lot about Czech culture, and gained confidence from the experience of living in a foreign country. Chris O - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review
I thought that my study abroad experience was total worthwhile. I would suggest to every student to study aboard, no matter where they are. I learned a lot about myself and the culture. Catherine B - Drake University View Entire Review
Before I went to Prague, I wanted to live in Japan and study Japanese art history. Though I would still like to go to Japan someday, my plans have completely changed. Now I'd like to get a degree in art theory from Charles University. I plan to become fluent in Czech over the next two years, and then study for my PhD in either a...
