Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program staff were incredibly helpful, and almost always around to answer student questions, or to provide support. They organized excursions, both day trips and weekend trips, as well as other fun things as well.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My housing was a dorm located on the outskirts of Prague. Though there was little near by, it is easy to get to the metro and reach downtown Prague and the main building of Charles University.

* Food:

Food was good, never had a bad meal in Prague...that I didn't cook myself.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Prague is an incredibly cheap city to live in, as long as you don't spend time in the very touristiy parts. There were no unexpected expenses.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? none
Language acquisition improvement?

I learn a lot of Czech, of which I know almost nothing before I went abroad.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
