It was 100% worthwhile. The thought of being 10,500 miles away from everything and everyone I knew was extremely overwhelming at first. But once I got to Perth and settled in, it felt like home almost immediately. Everyone in australia is so nice and will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. I learned h... I learned a lot about myself and how important it is for me to travel and get out of my comfort zone. I had never left home for more than a few weeks, and going half way across the world was a challenge, but one that was completely worthwhile. I had so much fun and was never homesick! AIFS was there along the whole way and was e... Nicole R - Minnesota State University, Mankato View Entire Review
I learned a lot in independence and grew up a lot while abroad. Maggie Whittemore - Saint Michael's College View Entire Review
SO worthwhile. Learned things about Australia from Australians and also learned other things from other study abroad students from different countries there Maya - Oklahoma State University - Stillwater View Entire Review
I found a bit of myself I was unable to find at Berea. This adventure was a one in a lifetime experience. Nicole B - Berea College View Entire Review
It's hard to sum up what has been gained or learned over a 6 month period into just a few sentences. I've tried to do it to my friends and family and it just doesn't work. All I can say is it's worth every second and dollar, and it will change you. Cameron G - University of Hartford View Entire Review
I learned how to step outside my comfort zone, take a few risks, and try new things. I also gained independence, and most importantly some friendships that will last a lifetime. It's been over a year since I left for Australia, and I still talk to my friends from study abroad everyday! Isabel - Saint John Fisher College View Entire Review
I gained the ability to take a step back and relax while studying abroad. In American society, people are overworked and under much stress. The change in pace in Australia was nice with not having a high involvement in school. I was able to relax and focus on having a good time while maintaining good marks. I really just learned how different and what seems to be, how isolated the United States really is. It's like we are the only ones to function like we do. Everyone else seems to understand leisure, except us. Madison Hutchinson - Berea College View Entire Review
It has really thought me to chill, like relax, take some time for yourself, do something that you want to do, not what everyone expects from you. You don't have to be that society expectation anymore. Madison Hutchinson - Berea College View Entire Review
The answer to this question would be an understatement to my experience abroad. It was one of the best decisions I have made thus far, and I plan and hope to continue to travel. Alexandra T - University of Hartford View Entire Review
