"American-Canadian exchange is underrated. I was able to learn a lot from my exchange, both academically as well as socially and culturally."

"I learned to really value the small class sizes at Wellesley. I also learned to put myself out there when I am in situations where I don't know anybody! "
A student Wellesley College
"Absolutely worthwhile. I gained a much more critical perspective on the US and on Americans (and I already had a critical perspective). I learned too much to even begin to pull together in this box."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to be more independent and crawl outside my comfort zone. Although I struggled personally during the program, I don believe it was the fault of the system, and so I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to study abroad that have not studied a second language enough for immersion programs. Edinburgh is a fanta..."

"I learned a lot about myself and I became a lot more independent. Menton was absolutely beautiful and I liked that classes weren't that intense so I had the opportunity to travel a lot. I also really liked the friends that I made and will stay in touch with most of them. I thought that it was worthwhile even though it wasn't wha..."

"I think it was worthwhile because it is such a unique opportunity to live in the rainforest for an extended period of time. I gained field research experience and simply grit from living in a mentally and physically challenging environment."

"Yes, see above. Much more comfortable living on my own, as an adult. I think it gave me insight to life after college."
A student Wellesley College
"I definitely gained a greater independence. I now feel completely comfortable traveling on my own and trusting my instincts when it comes to foreign places. I have had to navigate certain situations that I feel have equipped me for the real world in many ways. "

"I learned so much about myself. I met some incredible people. I still cannot put into words how dramatically my perspective has transformed and how much I feel I have grown - personally, academically, professionally. While it was undeniably exhausting at times, I am endlessly grateful to have had the opportunity to live and stud..."

"I would absolutely recommend PRESHCO and studying abroad in general. It forced me to push my boundaries, explore new places and have amazing experiences. This experience allowed me to broaden my horizons and gave me a new perspective on my life and made me think more about what I want to do in the future. Most importantly I f..."

Caroline G Wellesley College
"It was absolutely worthwhile, I'm very glad to have traded a year at wellesley for a year abroad. I learned that there is a whole big world outside my college life, and I gained a lot of confidence by living abroad and solving my own problems. I also got to travel through europe and northern africa a bunch. I think I have a bett..."

"I gained filmmaking/production experience which was important to my hopeful future career. I also developed a passion for cooking while fending for myself abroad, and got to see cities that I had only read about or seen in films. A lot of what I gained from this experience abroad was not directly connected with the programme, an..."

"I learned I never want to live in Cordoba again, but it was a good thing to learn, very interesting to live in a foreign country especially with a host family because it makes you feel more integrated to the culture. Also my spanish improved a ton and I feel mostly fluent now, definitely worth it"
Ilana Tamir Wellesley College
"I learned way more than language. Advancing my Japanese was the main reason for going abroad but it became secondary to the many other discoveries I made in Japan. For one, I had the privilege of interacting with many genuinely kind and interesting people who taught me so much about life through their diverse backgrounds. My lan..."

In particular for the political science program, I very much appreciate the comparative and institutional approach to many of the topics within comparative politics.
