"I would not trade my time abroad for anything. I had left with the intention of becoming fluent, and for all intents and purposes, I now am. No study abroad program and no foreign country will be perfect, but WIA and France came pretty close. I would love to go back to France again and explore the towns and regions that I was no..."

"Everything we do is connected to the sea in some way. But most importantly, we do have the power to make a difference, whether it's in a concentrated ecosystem or some portion of the ocean or even in our daily lives. I didn't really know what I wanted to do before I did the program once I graduated from college. Now I know I wan..."

"I have no regrets from my semester at all; it was one of the most fun and incredible five months of my life. I visited over 10 countries and met people who hopefully I will keep in contact with for a very long time. My perspective on my academic interests and personal goals also changed. I have already traveled widely before thi..."

"I wouldn't change my study abroad experience for the world. It has made me a more open-minded person all the while making me realize that even in a country such as Italy which has been turned into a fantasy-land for many Americans, many problems exist making it a very complex and beautiful country. I have changed my future caree..."

It has made me even more fascinated with what I am learning and what I have learned within my Spanish major. "

"Studying abroad was my first time out of the United States. So I immediately gained a lot of perspective. Living in a foreign country was difficult at times, but well worth the experience. I enjoyed learning other people's perspectives on mathematics and other things, such as politics. I had a lot of great conversations. "
Melinda L Wellesley College
"It was absolutely worthwhile. I learned to get along with many different types of people, I learned about cultures that are entirely different than that of America. I learned that not all other peoples hate Americans, but that it is easy to get caught up in political discussions just because you are from America. "

"Absolutely worthwhile - a crazy roller coaster, but worth every minute. Natural resource management basically studies how to balance environmental and social welfare. You can't make decisions about protecting the environment without also helping the people that depend strongly on their ancestral lands - and "helping" is not gi..."
