"Yes. I loved the opportunity to live independently and with a homestay in the small Icelandic fishing town of Isafjordur. It is amazing to be able to live in Iceland and say you're not just a touri..."

"During my time abroad I learned how to be independent while also learning to make new friends who I wouldn't normally have on campus. My host family was the best part of my experience, and although it was a bit awkward in the beginning I looked forward to eating a meal with them everyday and practicing Italian. "

"There are honestly too many things to type up. My biggest takeaway is that the world is wider than you can imagine, and that with a little effort and extroversion you can discover things and people that will undoubtedly teach you in ways that no school or institutional can. The experience was 100% worthwhile."
Naina Horning Middlebury College
"I gained a better understanding of myself, and how I am capable of living in a new place on my own. It was worthwhile, and while these are probably not the best four month of my life, they were definitely four months that I will never forget. "
A student Middlebury College
"My experience was absolutely worthwhile. I was given the opportunity to learn how to truly live on my own in a way that just moving away from home for college does not afford you. "I considered myself extremely independent before going abroad however being put in a place where there is a language barrier and cultural norms different than what I know forced me to become even more independent and pushed me outside of my comfort zone."
