Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"I learned a lot about physics specifically and was able to take more advanced courses than I otherwise would have. I also appreciated the chance to travel around England and to other countries in Europe. Overall, my experience was definitely worthwhile and I'd certainly do it again."

"It was so important to me that I was able to fend for myself in an entirely new place. Sydney is such a beautiful place, and I loved its downtown and the incredible beaches that were easily accessible. I met so many people and in turn, learned a lot about myself by making new friends from around the globe."

"I learned how much I am capable of as an independent person. I learned how to adapt to a new environment, how to think and learn in a different way, how to interact with different people, how to be comfortable alone, and how to travel alone. I met some really cool people, did some cool things, and made some good memories."

"A few important lessons for me were: - Take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself, but also don't be afraid to take time to yourself when needed - I learned one of my strengths is talking to people - leaning into new experiences was incredibly important and I learned how much I loved getting to know people from..."

"I chose to go to Aotearoa NZ to get outdoors and venture beyond day hikes (which was what I was primarily used, coming from a big city). I grew so much in my outdoor skills this semester, and I highly recommend Aotearoa NZ for those looking to start learning how to camp/how to backpack. The tramping club was also a great resourc..."

Benson C Middlebury College
"I learned to push myself past all my comfort zones and overcome my fear of discomfort and failure, which has often held me back from making my own decisions and doing things I wanted to in the past.
