Overall Experience
Yes, it was. - DePauw University View Entire Review
I had a great time. I had spent time in the city of Oxford before, so the culture was not new. It was a great experience to spend such a prolonged time in a different country, though. - Tulane University View Entire Review
Oxford is the best academic experience I have ever had. It provided me with a much broader and, at the same time, deeper understanding of my subject, challenging me to exceed my limits every step of the way. It revived my interest in chemistry and consolidated my conviction that graduate school is the natural next step for me. ... - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I'd say so - it gave me a great deal of insight into the field I'm looking to enter. - SUNY - Binghamton View Entire Review
I can't even explain how wonderful this was. Really, if you have any interest at all, and you're a good student, go for it. It's challenging, but amazing. And do two terms, if you can; just one doesn't feel like enough. - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review

I loved the experience. It was extremely fulfilling. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Yes it was definitely worthwhile. I've made some friends I know I will keep in touch with for life and I definitely believe it has changed the direction of my career choices. It has helped me narrow down my field of interest and made me even more determined to succeed in that field. Seeing the passion of the faculty and students... View Entire Review
I absolutely loved my year at Oxford. I really hope I am able to spend some more time there at some point in my life. The intensely academic lifestyle, however, has taught me that a life of academia is not for me. As such, it has really helped me define my future career and academic plans. I wholeheartedly recommend Oxford. ... - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Absolutely! Everything, every study, and discipline overlaps and builds upon the successes or failures of the other. - Shenandoah University View Entire Review

Oxford provided the BEST experience of my academic and social life. My tutorials were challenging, but yet I was still able to find a balance between work and play. I also got to explore ten countries across the European continent, which I otherwise would have found quite costly to do. I made some truly meaningful friendships wi... - Wellesley College View Entire Review

About

If you are a student from overseas (in most cases countries outside the EU) and wish to spend up to one year in Oxford on a course related to a degree in your own country, you can apply to a college for a place as a Visiting Student. As a Visiting Student you become a member of an Oxford college, and it is the college that will arrange for your tuition. Oxford does not award a degree or any other qualification for one year of study as a Visiting Student, but colleges are willing to provide a record of achievement, for example for credit purposes.
