I learned about who I am, what I want to do with my life, and how I'm going to do it. Incredibly worthwhile.

Classes and Lectrues were intense, but very worthwhile.

Everything was amazing, and seemed incredibly well planned out.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Very comfortable, nice, and safe. They even had daily room keeping!

* Food:

Loved the food. Thank you SBS cafeteria!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt like there were times when I didn't feel very integrated, but when we met with the different students and other church members of the area, that helped a lot.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

No healthcare concerns at all.

* Safety:

Be sure to go places in groups so that you're not alone, and won't get lost.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

The funds for food were provided for us.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Roughly fifty pounds a week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Just because you have the money, doesn't mean you need to spend it all.

  • More preparation from the students in advance, before the program starts.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? How amazing learning really is. This program helped ignite my passion for progressing and learning more.

The Academic or Linguist
You went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you!
